OSA's branded CIRCLE was designed by Elise Dodson, 10th grade Media Arts Pathway Student. Elise is a Scotland-born California raised artist based in Oakland. Her main artistic pursuits are film, photography, and design, taking inspiration from things that she loves like internet culture, animals, and the stars. Elise has worked on numerous projects, mostly within school alongside her classmates, doing camera work, animation, editing, and various other things to tell stories through video.

When Elise was asked what CIRCLE meant to her, the inspiration, and how she interpreted it in her design, she shared, "The main inspiration behing the CIRCLE design was the moon and its phases. The moon is the greatest circle of all, from full to new, waxing and waning, for all o fhuman history. I aimed to capture the essence of the moon's perpetual cyclicity, as well as its balance of dark and light in my design."

Elise's design has been broadly used this year including in billboard advertisements and apparel. Limited-edition CIRCLE apparel was available in the Fox Theater lobby for sale. A share of the profits go to the student artist.
