The Visual Art Department provides a comprehensive visual art program that teaches basic skills and techniques, and emphasizes critical thinking skills. The diverse curriculum allows students to learn the fundamentals of studio art in addition to challenging individualized projects. Assignments in Visual Art range from traditional life drawing and painting, to sculpture, design and conceptual development. Students learn within a broader art historical context while addressing contemporary issues relevant to artists today.
