Audition Requirements

ARTS MANAGEMENT (High School Only)
• Design: Present a portfolio of design projects, drawings, and sketches.
• Management: Present a resume of projects and/or events you have organized.
• Be prepared to discuss your experiences.

DANCE
• Wear leotards and tights, or non-baggy shorts and a t-shirt.
• Wear dance shoes or have bare feet.
• Keep hair pulled off the face.
• Do not wear jewelry
• Students will audition in groups. No prepared solos will be necessary.

DIGITAL MEDIA (High School Only)
• Submit a variety of samples of your visual and digital artwork
• You will be asked to "pitch" a project or a storyline for production
• Be prepared to discuss your work.

MUSIC – VOCAL & INSTRUMENTAL
• Prepare a musical selection 2 to 3 minutes long.
• Bring three copies of the sheet music for the piece you will perform.
• You will be asked to discuss your audition piece.
• Instrumentalists must bring their own instruments (excluding piano and drums).
• Vocalists must sing their selection acapella.

LITERARY ARTS (High School Only)
• Submit a portfolio of diverse written work
• You will be given an on-site writing assignment on the day of the audition
• Be prepared to discuss your reading and writing preferences and ideas

THEATRE
• Select a 2-minute monologue from a contemporary, published play – no original material or poetry. (Some selections for download.)
• Bring the play and three copies of the monologue to the audition.
• You will be asked to discuss the play and the monologue you have chosen.

VISUAL ARTS
• Submit a variety of samples of your visual artwork
• You will be given an on-site drawing assignment on the day of the audition
• Be prepared to discuss your work.
